Ukulele playing has become increasingly popular, and our new amateur group was formed last year in Ashton Keynes, between Swindon and Cirencester. We are a mixture of ages and skills, ranging from complete beginners to slightly more experienced players.
We are now looking for more members from anywhere in the Swindon/Cirencester area. Don’t worry if you don’t have a ukulele, as we are more than happy to let you try out our Ukes before you buy one. If you don’t play but would like to go along and sing – then we would welcome singers too. We are a very friendly small group, more concerned with enjoyment than being technically brilliant. All the local music shops have good ukuleles from about £29. So it’s a very cheap way of playing some fun music.
We meet every Wednesday at 8pm, at The White Hart Inn, Ashton Keynes, near Swindon, Wiltshire. We use the function room attached to the pub, but meet in the bar first! You can just turn up at the White Hart, High Road, Ashton Keynes, or for any more information – ring Lewis on 01285 861212.
